The Chicago Blackhawks
have traded minor-league forward Rob Klinkhammer
to the Ottawa Senators
in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.
In the event Klinkhammer plays five NHL regular-season games this season, Ottawa will transfer its own seventh-round pick in 2013 to Chicago.
The 25-year-old Klinkhammer debuted on Dec. 8, 2010 in a 5-3 win over Dallas, in his only NHL appearance to date. The undrafted free agent out of Lethbridge, AB, has spent the past four seasons playing for Norfolk and Rockford in the AHL, posting 17 goals and 46 points in 76 games last season for the Ice Hogs.
