Seguin, Howard and Toews collect NHL's three stars of week honours @NHLdotcom

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Tyler Seguin's four goals and two assists earned the Boston Bruins centre the NHL's first star of the week honours.

Seguin scored a pair of game winners as the Bruins (8-7-0) won all three games last week.

The 19-year-old scored the game winner in a 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Nov. 7, scored the winner and added an assist in a 6-3 win over Edmonton three nights later, then recorded two goals and an assist in a 6-2 victory over Buffalo on Saturday.

Seguin leads the Bruins with 11 goals and nine assists in 15 games.

Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard was named second star after Detroit (9-5-1) climbed to fifth in the Western Conference.

Howard posted a 3-0-0 record, 1.33 goals-against average and .948 save percentage, stopping 73 of 77 shots last week. He made 24 saves in a 5-2 victory over Colorado on Tuesday, posted his eighth career NHL shutout with 24 saves in a 3-0 win over Edmonton on Friday, and capped the week by making 25 saves in a 5-2 victory over Dallas on Saturday.

Blackhawks centre Jonathan Toews is the third star, scoring four goals and adding two assists in four games last week to help Chicago (11-4-3) claim first in the NHL's overall standings.

The Chicago captain had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday for his first multi-goal outing of the season. He had one assist in a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Friday and scored twice in a 6-3 victory over Edmonton on Sunday.
