Sean Ringrose scores winner with 5:01 left as Medicine Hat tops Red Deer 3-1 @NHLdotcom

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Sean Ringrose scored the winner at 14:59 of the third period to lift the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 3-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

John Stampohar opened the scoring for the Tigers (37-19-5-1), and Tyler Ennis scored into an empty net. Brennan Wray replied for the Rebels (17-39-4-3), tying the game 1-1 at the 4:51 mark of the third period.

Tigers goaltender Ryan Holfeld made 11 saves in the Medicine Hat net, while Rebel netminder Morgan Clark stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced.

Medicine Hat was scoreless on five opportunities with the man-advantage. Red Deer was 0-for-5.
