Scott Niedermayer skates last week but still not sure about playing future @NHLdotcom

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Scott Niedermayer took to the ice once last week but it was enough to spark rumours of a possible return.

The reality is that he remains undecided about his playing future. "He skated once last week, but nothing has changed, he still hasn't made a decision," Niedermayer's agent Kevin Epp of Titans Sports Management told The Canadian Press on Thursday.

Niedermayer, through the team Thursday, confirmed he skated once last week and that he "might" skate again.

The 34-year-old is currently suspended by the Anaheim Ducks, a technicality that was necessary for the Ducks to save on his US$6.75-million salary.

He hopes to make up his mind once and for all by mid-December at the latest.

"I would say probably before Christmas," Epp said.
