Schneider, Devils shut out Rangers @NHLdotcom

Cory Schneider made 20 saves, and Jaromir Jagr scored for the New Jersey Devils in a 3-0 preseason win against the New York Rangers at Prudential Center on Saturday.

Tuomo Ruutu and Dainius Zubrus scored for New Jersey, and Adam Larsson had two assists.

Cam Talbot stopped 21 of 24 shots for New York.

The Devils, who finished the preseason 4-1-1, open the regular season Oct. 9 at the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Rangers, who were 3-3-0, next play at the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 9.
