Sault Ste. Marie evens Western Conference semifinal with 3-1 win over Guelph @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Kyle Gajewski turned aside 24 shots as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds drew even in their Western Conference semifinal with a 3-1 win over the Guelph Storm in OHL action Friday.

The win evened the series at a game apiece, with Game 3 set for Monday in Guelph.

Josh Godfrey opened the scoring for Sault Ste. Marie at 6:07 of the first period, and Brandon MacLean added a pair of empty-netters late in the third.

Michael Caruso spoiled Gajewski's shutout bid with one second left in the game.

Thomas McCollum made 28 saves in defeat for the Storm.
