The London Knights barely survived a wild night against the Erie Otters.

Nazem Kadri scored in the shootout as the London Knights outlasted the Erie Otters 8-7 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Erie scored five unanswered goals in the third period to force overtime.

Two of those goals were in the final minute of play, and Greg McKegg scored with one second left on the clock.

London jumped out a 5-0 lead when Mike Cazzola scored in the second period to put the Otters on the board.

The Knights re-established a five-point lead when Daniel Erlich scored at 6:36 of the third period to make it 7-2. It was 31 seconds later when Paul Cianfrini began Erie's offensive firestorm.

Elsewhere in the OHL it was Ottawa 5 Kingston 2; Belleville 7 Sudbury 0; Plymouth 3 Kitchener 2; Saginaw 5 Owen Sound 2; Barrie 3 Mississauga 2 (OT); Guelph 6 Sault Ste. Marie 3; and Windsor 5 Sarnia 4.

At London, Ont., Jared Knight and Michael MacDonald both scored twice in regulation for London (29-11-1), while Philip McRae and Leigh Salters added singles.

McKegg had a goal and three assists for Erie (19-16-7), while Anthony Luciani, Andrew Yogan, Shawn Szydlowski and Derek Holden also tallied.


67's 5 Frontenacs 2

At Ottawa, Corey Cowick scored twice as the 67's beat Kingston.

Cody Lindsay scored the go-ahead goal for Ottawa (21-17-5), while Ryan Martindale and Remy Giftopoulos also tallied.

Harnden had a goal and an assist and Ethan Werek also scored for the Frontenacs (19-19-3).


Bulls 7 Wolves 0

At Belleville, Ont., Anthony Peters made 24 saves as the Bulls stomped Sudbury.

Austen Brassard scored twice and added two assists for Belleville (14-23-7), while Michael Curtis had a pair of goals. Andy Bathgate, Luke Judson and Richard Panik added singles.

Alain Valiquette stopped 37 shots for Sudbury (16-20-5).


Whalers 3 Rangers 2

At Plymouth, Mich., A.J. Jenks had the power-play winner to lift the Whalers to a win over Kitchener.

Tyler Seguin added a goal and two assists for the Whalers (24-19-1), while Michal Jordan also tallied.

Ben Thomson and Gabriel Landeskog scored for Kitchener (27-11-3).


Spirit 5 Attack 2

At Saginaw, Mich., Josh Shalla led with a goal and two assists as the Spirit beat Owen Sound.

Michael Kantor scored and added an assist for Saginaw (21-16-4), while Barry Sanderson, Vincent Trocheck and Anthony Camara also chipped in.

Garrett Wilson and Marcus Carroll scored for the Attack (19-21-4).


Colts 3 Majors 2 (OT)

At Barrie, Ont., Dalton Prout had the overtime winner as Barrie shaded Mississauga.

Luke Pither and Darren Archibald both had a goal and an assist for Barrie (33-6-1).

Devante Smith-Pelly and William Wallen provided all the offence for Mississauga (27-8-5).


Storm 6 Greyhounds 3

At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Michael Latta had a hat trick and added an assist as Guelph doubled Sault Ste. Marie.

Zack Mitchell, Francis Menard and Carter Sandlak also tallied for Guelph (16-22-3).

Vern Cooper had scored twice and added an assist for the Greyhounds (21-18-4), while Brett Thompson added a single.


Spitfires 5 Sting 4

At Sarnia, Ont., Taylor Hall had a goal and three assists as Windsor flew to a win over the Sting.

Eric Wellwood and Mark Cundari both tallied and added an assist for Windsor (33-5-4), while Austin Watson and Ryan Ellis also scored.

Ben O'Quinn had a goal and an assist for Sarnia (14-25-3), while Miroslav Preisinger and Jesse Stoughton also had markers.
