Sabres owner Kim Pegula joins 'Executive Suite' podcast

Interview-style show features in-depth conversations with influential figures in hockey world

by @NHLdotcom

Kim Pegula sits down with host Deb Placey for the fifth episode of the "NHL Executive Suite" podcast, available now on and multiple iOS and Android podcast Apps.

Among the topics discussed by Pegula, the owner of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills, are how she finds time to manage her responsibilities with each team, her reaction to recently being mentioned as a possible candidate to be the future Commissioner of the NHL, and why she loves interacting with Buffalo fans.

Pegula also discusses the main differences between professional hockey and football players, and details how being a woman in sports has changed over the years, how her unique childhood has shaped who she is today, what the biggest technical advancement has been for the teams that she owns, and why Buffalo is such a wonderful place to live or visit.

"I do think that I bring about a different skill set and/or a different thought process, whether that's because I'm a woman, because of my upbringing, because of genetics," Pegula said. "I do think that it's important that you have different voices that you can listen to."
