LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Florida Panthers forward Rocco Grimaldi is playing in his second hockey game of the day.
Grimaldi suited up for the AHL's San Antonio Rampage on Tuesday morning, recording three shots on goal.
He then hopped on a plane to Los Angeles to suit up for the Panthers against the Kings.
Grimaldi was an emergency call-up to fill in for Aleksander Barkov, who was sidelined with an illness.
He was able to do double duty because the Rampage had a game that started at 10:30 a.m. for schoolchildren. He was pulled out of the game in San Antonio in the third period of the Rampage's 4-3 shootout win.
Grimaldi is a native of Rossmoor, California, just south of Los Angeles. He was a second-round pick in 2011.
