Rieder with four points as Rangers eliminate Attack 4 games to 1 @NHLdotcom

KITCHENER, Ont. - Tobias Rieder had two goals and added two assists as the Kitchener Rangers eliminated the Owen Sound Attack from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs on Friday with a 4-2 victory.

Kitchener won the Western Conference quarterfinal series four games to one.

Rieder?s four points moved him into second place in OHL playoff scoring with 13, one behind teammate Michael Catenacci, who collected a pair of assists on the night.

Andrew Crescenzi also had two goals and an an assist for the Rangers to improve his series totals to four goals and eight points.

Cameron Brace scored both goals for the Attack.

John Gibson stopped 51 shots for the win while Scott Stajcer turned away 23 of 27 shots in a losing effort.

Kitchener went 3 for 7 on the power play as Owen Sound scored once on six opportunities with the man advantage.

The Rangers will have to wait for both the Plymouth Whalers-Guelph Storm series and Sarnia Sting-Saginaw Spirit series to finish before they know who they will face in the second round.
