, who coached the Pittsburgh Penguins
to the 2008 Stanley Cup Final but was fired less than a year later, reportedly has been hired as a part-time pro scout by the Minnesota Wild
According to the Star-Tribune, Therrien watched the Wild's game against the Blue Jackets on Wednesday with Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher.
"Michel knows hockey," Fletcher told the paper. "He's won in many places, and he wants to lead a team again. So he wants to attend games and stay around the NHL. We are delighted to have him"
Therrien, 46, has been out of hockey since being fired by the Penguins in February 2009 -- less than a year after he helped lead Pittsburgh to the 2008 Stanley Cup Final, where the Pens lost to Detroit in six games.
