Renaud has a goal, two assists as Windsor beats Owen Sound 5-2

WINDSOR, Ont. - Mickey Renaud had a goal and two assists as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Owen Sound Attack 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.

Taylor Hall, Ryan Ellis, Greg Nemisz and Marek Biro added goals for Windsor (10-1-0-2).

Joey Hison and Michael Farrell scored for Owen Sound (1-11-1-0).

Owen Sound took a 2-0 lead less than six minutes into the game on those goals, but from there it was all Windsor.

Rookies Hall and Ellis evened the score for the Spitfires in the first period, during which Windsor outshot the Attack 24-9.

Nemisz's eighth goal of the season with about nine minutes left in the second period staked the Spitfire to a lead they would not relinquish.

Spitfires backup Matt Hackett started just his second game in goal, making 27 saves.

Tyler Beskoroway was peppered by 70 Spits shots while taking the loss in goal for Owen Sound.
