Reddick scores twice, Pechurskiy gets shutout as Americans beat Bruins @NHLdotcom

Kruise Reddick had a pair of goals and Alex Pechurskiy made 22 saves as the Tri-City Americans beat the Chilliwack Bruins 5-0 in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Pechurskiy posted his second shutout as the Americans (31-11-1) moved to the top of the WHL standings, one point ahead of Saskatoon.

Tri-City also leads the Western Conference by six points over Vancouver, and the U.S. Division by nine points over Portland.

Elsewhere in the WHL it was Everett 4 Spokane 3 (SO) and Medicine Hat 5 Vancouver 1.

At Kennewick,Wash., Justin Feser, Jordan Messier and Johnny Lazo, with a penalty shot, also scored for the Americans.

Braden Gamble finished with 37 saves for Chilliwack (20-20-6).

Silvertips 4 Chiefs 3 (SO)

At Everett, Wash., Scott MacDonald and Ryan Murray scored two late goals to help the Silvertips beat Spokane.


Tigers 5 Giants 1

At Medicine Hat,Alta., Wacey Hamilton had a goal and two assists as the Tigers downed Vancouver.
