Red Wings' Datsyuk returns from broken right wrist @NHL

DETROIT (AP) - Pavel Datsyuk has returned to the Detroit Red Wings' lineup.

Datsyuk played Monday night against the New York Rangers for the first time since breaking his right wrist Dec. 22 against Vancouver.

He had 39 points in his first 33 games this season.

Fans cheered when Datsyuk was on the ice early in the first period for the Central Division-leading Red Wings.

Datsyuk won his third straight Selke Trophy as the NHL's top defensive forward last year. He became the first player to win the award three years in a row since Montreal's Bob Gainey won it four straight times from 1978-81.
