Red Wings advance to Stanley Cup final with 2-1 win over Blackhawks

DETROIT - Darren Helm scored in overtime as the Detroit Red Wings advanced to the Stanley Cup final with a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Detroit, the defending Stanley Cup champion, won the Western Conference championship over the Blackhawks in five games.

The Red Wings will now face Pittsburgh in a rematch of last year's final, which Detroit won in six games.

Daniel Cleary scored in regulation for Detroit, while Patrick Kane replied for the Blackhawks.
