Rattie and Ross each score twice for the Winterhawks as they beat the Chiefs 6-5

PORTLAND, Ore. - Taylor Leier scored the shoot-out winner as the Portland Winterhawks beat the Spokane Chiefs 6-5 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Ty Rattie and Brad Ross each scored twice while Taylor Peters added a single to round out the Winterhawks (12-7-2) scoring.

Marek Kalus, Mike Aviani, Steven Kuhn, Darren Kramer and Connor Chartier scored for the Chiefs (9-4-2).

Mac Carruth earned the win, making 32 saves, while Mac Engel stopped 35 shots in defeat.

Both teams had success on the power play as Portland went 3-for-6 and Spokane scored twice on seven opportunities.
