Rangers coach hit by stick @NHLdotcom

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -New York Rangers coach Tom Renney was taken to the dressing room after being hit by a stick in the second period against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.

Two Rangers players hit Columbus defenseman Rostislav Klesla from behind and an errant stick struck Renney near the 11:30 mark of the second period.

He left the bench area and did not return the rest of the period.
