Radek Meidl scores in seventh round of shootout as Americans beat Bruins @NHLdotcom

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Radek Meidl scored the only goal of the shootout in the seventh round as the Tri-City Americans beat the Chilliwack Bruins 5-4 Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Chilliwack blew a 4-2 lead in the third period as goals from Meidl and T.J. Fast sent the game to overtime. Fast finished with two regulation goals for the Americans, while Colton Yellow Horn also scored.

Mark Santorelli had a goal and two assists for the Bruins, while Ryan Howse, Oscar Moller and Nick Holden also scored.

Chet Pickard made 26 saves for Tri-City (39-12-1-2) while Mark Friesen stopped 38 shots for Chilliwack (23-24-3-3).
