QMJHL Roundup: Galipeau scores in OT, Foreurs beat Wildcats for 12th straight win @NHLdotcom

MONCTON, N.B. - Olivier Galipeau had the overtime winner as the Val-d'Or Foreurs slipped past the Moncton Wildcats 6-5 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Julien Gauthier scored a hat trick for Val-d'Or (22-7-3) in regulation time, with Galipeau adding three assists. Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Samuel Hould also scored for the Foreurs. Etienne Montpetit made 24 saves as Val-d'Or earned its 12th win in a row.

Kelly Klima had three goals for Moncton (20-9-4), while his brother Kevin Klima had the game-tying goal 14:51 into the third. Austin Kosack rounded out the Wildcats attack as Blade Mann-Dixon stopped 33 shots.

Val-d'Or's power play was instrumental in the win, scoring three times on four chances. The Wildcats went 1 for 4 with the man advantage.



BATHURST, N.B. ? Francis Perron scored twice as Rouyn-Noranda toppled the Titan.

Allan Caron, Jean-Christophe Beaudin, Mathieu Boucher and Antoine Waked rounded out the attack for the Huskies (24-3-4), who have won six straight.

Jordan Maher had a pair of power-play goals for Acadie-Bathurst (10-19-3) and Quintin Lisoway also scored.



BOISBRIAND, Que. ??? Clark Bishop had an short-handed goal and put another into an empty net as Cape Breton flew past the Armada.

Michael Joly and Jeremie Beaudin also scored for the Screaming Eagles (17-13-3).

Pascal Corbeil was the lone scorer for Blainville-Boisbriand (11-16-5).



DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. ??? Emanuel Aucoin struck twice as the Voltigeurs doubled up Rimouski.

Michael Carcone and Kristian Afanasyev also scored for Drummondville (16-16-0).

Anthony Chapados and Hunter Moreau supplied the offence for the Oceanic (19-10-2).



SHERBROOKE, Que. ??? Jonathan Bourcier scored once and set up two more as Chicoutimi downed the Phoenix for its third win in a row.

Nicolas Roy, Landon Schiller, Frederic Allaird and Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau also found the back of the net for the Sagueneens (13-14-4).

Nicolas Poulin had a pair of goals and Guillaume Gauthier added a goal and two assists for Sherbrooke (12-15-5), which is on a three-game skid.
