CHARLOTTETOWN - Charlottetown's Antoine Bibeau let in the game's first goal but finished with 48 saves, and the Islanders scored seven unanswered goals to dump Val-d'Or 7-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play Thursday.
Guillaume Gelinas opened the scoring for the Foreurs (7-5-0) with a short-handed goal at 13:17 of the first period, and 40 seconds later Kameron Kielly tied it for Charlottetown (9-2-1) on the power play. Alexandre Goulet made it 2-1 before the period was over.
Daniel Sprong and Alex Pepin scored 20 seconds apart in the third period to make it 4-1 at the 2:22 mark. The Islanders added to the rout with goals from Deverick Ottereyes, another from Sprong, and their seventh of the night from Guillaume Rioux-Legault.
Fran?ois Tremblay stopped 23 of 28 shots for Val-d'Or, and Keven Bouchard stopped just one of the three shots he faced over the final 16:24 of the game.

SYDNEY, N.S. ? Rouyn-Noranda used a four-goal third period to defeat Cape Breton.
Liam O'Brien scored twice for the Huskies (6-4-2), with his second goal of the game at 4:36 of the third period giving his team a 4-3 lead. Francis Perron, Jean-Sebastien Dea, Dillon Fournier, Mathieu Lemay and Maxime St-Cyr, with an empty-netter, also scored for Rouyn-Noranda.
Kyle Farrell scored the game's first two goals for the Screaming Eagles (6-5-2). Cameron Darcy and William Carrrier rounded out the scoring for Cape Breton.
Alexandre Belanger made 30 saves for the Huskies.
Maxime Lagace handled 12 of the 15 shots he faced over the first two periods for Cape Breton. Alex Bureau stopped five of the eight shots he faced in the final period.
