Puempel has hat trick to lead Petes to 7-4 thrashing of Kingston Frontenacs

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Matt Puempel had a hat trick to lead the Peterborough Petes in a 7-4 thrashing of the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League play Saturday night.

Justin Larson scored twice and added an assist for Peterborough (23-20-3), while Liam Heelis and Jack Wlchessen also tallied. Goaltender Jason Missiaen stopped 32 shots for the win.

Joe Pleckaitis had a pair of goals for Kingston (20-21-3), while Zach Harnden and Brian Lashoff both scored and added an assist. Tyler Beskorowany made 28 saves.
