Prince Albert Raiders snap Ice's 14-game winning streak with 5-2 victory

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - The Prince Albert Raiders defeated the Kootenay Ice 5-2 on Saturday night to end the Ice's 14-game Western Hockey League winning streak.

Brandon Herrod scored his 30th goal of the season and added two assists to lead the Raiders (26-22-3), while Ryan Harrison, Mark McNeill, Craig McCallum and Dustin Cameron also scored.

Jesse Ismond and rookie defenceman Jagger Dirk, with his first WHL goal, replied for Kootenay (30-16-3).

Raiders goaltender Jamie Tucker made 33 saves. He held the Ice scoreless until Ismond's goal with 4:52 left.

Nathan Lieuwen faced 28 shots in the Kootenay net.

The Raiders opened a 2-0 lead with a pair of power-play goals in the first period. They went up 4-0 in the second.
