Predators forward Neal day-to-day: report

by Staff

Nashville Predators right wing James Neal is day-to-day because of a lower-body injury, the Tennessean reported Friday.

Neal left the game Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning with 6:13 left in the second period and did not play in the third.

The Predators' next preseason game is Sept. 29 at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets. They open the regular season Oct. 8 at home against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Neal had 23 goals and 37 points last season, his first with the Predators, and skated on the top line with left wing Filip Forsberg and center Mike Ribeiro.
