NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Rich Peverley and Alexander Radulov scored in the shootout, and the Nashville Predators stopped a six-game home skid with a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday.
Jason Arnott scored for Nashville, and Dan Ellis stopped two of three attempts to help the Predators improve to 3-5 in shootouts.
Andrew Ladd scored for the Blackhawks.
Arnott put the Predators on the board at 5:24 of the first period. J.P. Dumont skated from behind the net and passed the puck to Shea Weber who was skating low through the slot. Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin blocked Weber's shot. Arnott skated in from the left side and used a wrist shot to send the rebound between the post and Khabibulin.
Ladd tied it for the Blackhawks at14:42. His wrist shot from a few feet out went in the goal low to the glove side of Ellis who stretched, but was unable to reach it.
The Blackhawks outshot the Predators 16-10 in the third period, and had seven shots in overtime. The Predators managed only two shots against Khabibulin.
Notes: The Predators are 30-5-4 when scoring the first goal. The Blackhawks had beaten the Predators four straight games. Weber has assists in his last three games.
