Power play the difference as the Ice beat the Silvertips 4-2 @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Two power-play goals were the difference as the Kootenay Ice doubled up the Everett Silvertips 4-2 Friday in Western Hockey League action.

The Ice (12-3-2) had power-play goals from Joe Antilla in the first period and Elgin Pearce in the third.

Dylan McKinlay and Erik Benoit were the other scorers for Kootenay.

Tyler Maxwell and Trent Lofthouse scored for the Silvertips (4-12-3).

Nathan Lieuwen made 29 saves for the win while Kent Simpson turned aside 33 shots in defeat.

The Ice now sit first in the Central division, two points ahead of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
