Plymouth Whalers down Sault Ste. Marie 6-2; win playoff series 4-1 @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Phil McRae scored twice and added an assist as the Plymouth Whalers sailed to a 6-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in Ontario Hockey League playoff action Friday night.

AJ Jenks had a goal and two assists for Plymouth, while Ryan Hayes, Tyler Brown and Josh Brittain added singles. Matt Hackett made 33 saves for the win.

Brandon Archibald and Myles McCauley replied for Sault Ste. Marie, while Robin Lehner stopped 25 of 30 shots.

The Whalers win the series 4-1.
