Pittsburgh Penguins sign undrafted defenceman Jonathan D'Aversa @NHLdotcom

PITTSBURGH (CP) - The Pittsburgh Penguins signed undrafted free-agent defenceman Jonathan D'Aversa to a three-year contract on Friday.

The 21-year-old spent the last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sudbury Wolves. D'Aversa led all OHL defencemen in scoring this past season with 60 points.

The native of Richmond Hill, Ont., had 26 goals and 124 assists for 150 points in 259 career OHL games.
