Pither's hat trick leads Colts to 5-4 win over IceDogs in OHL action @NHL

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Luke Pither's third goal of the game lifted the Barrie Colts to a 5-4 overtime win over the Niagara IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday.

Pither has seven goals in his first two games of the season.

Chris DeSousa had tied the game for the IceDogs 25 seconds into the third period.

Alexander Burmistrov had a pair of goals for the Colts (2-0-0), who ousthot the IceDogs 47-38.

Alex Friesen had two goals and an assist for Niagara, including a goal 20 seconds into the game gave the IceDogs a 1-0 lead.

Freddie Hamilton also scored for the IceDogs (0-1-1).

Peter Di Salvo made 34 saves for the Colts while Petteri Simila stopped 42 shots for the IceDogs.
