Pither's four goals lead Barrie in 9-1 rout of Owen Sound @NHL

BARRIE, Ont. - Luke Pither scored four goals for the Barrie Colts in a 9-1 rout of the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday in the Ontario Hockey League opener for both teams.

Michael Sgarbossa scored twice while Zach Hall, Taylor Carnevale and Alexander Burmistrov each added goals for the Colts, who outshot the Attack 48-26.

Myles Doan had the lone marker for Owen Sound, which couldn't capitalize on eight power-play chances.

Peter Di Salvo stopped 25 of 26 shots for Barrie.

Jordon Binnington made 39 saves in the loss for the Attack.
