GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Goalie Mikael Tellqvist and center Mike Zigomanis have re-signed with the Phoenix Coyotes.
Both agreed to two-year deals, the Coyotes said Friday. Terms weren't disclosed.
Tellqvist was acquired Nov. 28 in a trade that sent Tyson Nash and a fourth-round draft pick to Toronto. He has played in 19 games for the Coyotes, with a record of 9-7-2, a 3.22 goals-against average, and a .895 save percentage. In 58 career NHL games, Tellqvist has a 25-22-4 record with a 3.10 GAA and .894 save percentage.
The Coyotes initially signed Zigomanis as a free agent July 26. He has played in 52 games for Phoenix, setting career highs in goals (10), assists (seven) and points (17). He ranks seventh in the NHL in faceoff winning percentage at 56.9.
In 111 career NHL games, Zigomanis has 13 goals and 11 assists. He played with Carolina and St. Louis before signing with the Coyotes.
The signings were announced one day after Phoenix re-signed team captain Shane Doan to a five-year, $22.5 million contract.
