Pens, Caps to be celebrated on NHL Net Thursday @NHL
To coincide with the announcement of NHL and HBO Sports' partnership on "24/7 Penguins Capitals: Road to the Winter Classic," NHL Network will show a few of the more entertaining moments in the recent rivalry between the teams and their respective superstars, Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.

At 4 p.m., the network will televise "Off The Ice: Sidney Crosby," a profile of the Penguins' captain and star, followed by "An Ovechkin Ovation: Alex's Greatest Goals," a 30-minute look back at the two-time Hart Trophy winner's most memorable scoring moments.

At 5 p.m., the Network will recap the memorable 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinal series between the teams, which featured Crosby and Ovechkin each netting a hat trick in a series eventually won in Game 7 by the Penguins at Washington's Verizon Center.

At 6 p.m. the Network will air "Frozen in Time: 2009 Playoffs," an all-encompassing look back at the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs, capped by the Penguins claiming the Stanley Cup in six games against the Detroit Red Wings.

At 7 p.m., the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers will meet in a live preseason game at the John Labatt Centre, in London, Ont.
