Penguins' Guerin out for Game 3

MONTREAL – Pittsburgh suffered another injury blow for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals here at the Bell Centre.

Veteran forward Bill Guerin was not able to go Tuesday night after missing the morning skate with an undisclosed ailment. Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma called it a “maintenance day” and said Guerin would be a game-time decision.

The Penguins are already without third-line checking center Jordan Staal, who suffered a foot laceration in Game 1, so the loss of Guerin, a first-line winger who is third on the team with 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists), forces Bylsma to make some serious lineup adjustments.
