Maroon to have hearing with Player Safety

Oilers forward faces discipline from NHL for interference on Kings defenseman Doughty @NHLdotcom

Edmonton Oilers forward Patrick Maroon will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday for interference on Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty.

The incident occurred at 19:55 of the second period at Rogers Place on Tuesday. Maroon received a match penalty.

The Kings defeated the Oilers 5-0.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: interference. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
