Out of hospital, Bruins' Chara may play in Game 2 @NHLdotcom

BOSTON (AP) - Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara is expected to play Game 2 of the Eastern Conference playoff series against Montreal after spending the night in the hospital for dehydration.

The team confirmed on Saturday that the Chara was hospitalized and received treatment for dehydration on Friday night.

The Boston Herald was the first to report the story.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said after the morning skate Saturday that he's not been told by the medical staff to keep him out of the game.

Chara logged 25 minutes of ice time in the 2-0 loss to the Canadiens on Thursday night. He practiced and felt ill Friday afternoon, according to the Herald.

Chara played in 81 regular-season games before resting in Boston's final game of the season.
