Ottawa beats Niagara 4-0 to force Game 7 in OHL quarter-final @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - Thomas Kiriakou and Corey Cowick scored two goals apiece and Adam Courchaine made 21 saves as the Ottawa 67's staved off elimination Monday by blanking the Niagara IceDogs 4-0.

The win forces a Game 7 in their Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference quarter-final. Tyler Toffoli and Julien Demers chipped in two assists each for Ottawa, which will host Niagara on Tuesday in the deciding contest and potential last appearance for Brian Kilrea as the 67's head coach.

Kilrea, winningest coach in Canadian major junior hockey history, will retire from coaching following the conclusion of the playoffs after 32 seasons in charge of Ottawa's OHL franchise.

Ottawa went 2-for-6 on the power play, while Niagara failed on all four of its chances with a man advantage.

IceDogs goalie Jeremy Smith stopped 33 of 37 shots.
