Oilers' Nugent-Hopkins out with lower-body injury

by Derek Van Diest

EDMONTON -- Edmonton Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will not play against the Calgary Flames on Saturday because of a lower-body injury.

With Nugent-Hopkins out, the Oilers will move forward Taylor Hall from left wing to center on the top line between Benoit Pouliot and Jordan Eberle.

Hall played center for a brief period at the beginning of the 2013-2014 season while Nugent-Hopkins was recovering from shoulder surgery.

Nugent-Hopkins leads the Oilers with 24 goals this season and is second with 56 points.

Calgary will not dress forward Sam Bennett, who was recalled from the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League on Friday.

Bennett, 18, was the fourth player selected in the 2014 NHL Draft.
