Oilers fall short against Canucks in preseason finale @NHLdotcom

Henrik Sedin had two assists and Ryan Miller stopped 27 of 29 shots to give the Vancouver Canucks a preseason win against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena.

Chris Higgins, Daniel Sedin and Radim Vrbata scored for the Canucks, who went 5-2-0 in the preseason. Vancouver will open the season on Oct. 8 at the Calgary Flames.

Nail Yakupov and Will Acton scored for Edmonton and Ben Scrivens made 15 saves. The Oilers, who went 4-4-0 in the preseason, will host Calgary on Oct. 9.
