Nigro and Holland weave shootout magic to snap Guelph's losing streak @NHLdotcom

GUELPH, Ont. - Anthony Nigro and Peter Holland scored shootout goals to lead the Guelph Storm to their first win in four games, a 4-3 victory over the Niagra IceDogs on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

The Storm (6-2-0-1) recovered from a two-goal deficit to force the eventual shootout, snapping a three-game losing streak after beginning the season with five straight wins.

All of Niagara's goals game on the power play. The IceDogs were 3-for-8 on the night.

Ben Chiarot, Matt Kennedy and Cody McNaughton scored in regulation for Guelph, while Matt Piva, Freddie Hamilton and Chris DeSousa replied for Niagara (2-3-1-3).

Storm netminder Thomas McCollum stopped 18 shots and did not allow a goal in the shootout. John Cullen made 33 saves for the IceDogs.
