NHL Network presents Saturday doubleheader @NHLdotcom
Hockey fans can enjoy a Saturday TV feast, beginning with a showdown between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings at 12:30 p.m. ET, a game that will be shown by NBC in the United States and TSN2 in Canada.

Just about the time the Hawks and Wings are wrapping things up at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, the NHL Network will show the first game of its doubleheader when the Colorado Avalanche visit Dallas. The Avs come to Dallas after a 3-2 overtime loss at Nashville on Thursday, the same night the Stars won 5-4 in a shootout at Los Angeles.

Also at 3, New Jersey wraps up a four-game trip in Winnipeg, where the Jets lost 2-0 to San Jose on Thursday. This game can be seen in Canada on CBC.

Game 2 of the NHL Network twin bill gets under way at 7 p.m. ET, when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the New York Rangers. Both teams are coming off losses -- Toronto fell 3-2 at Buffalo on Friday, while the Rangers lost 3-0 to Ottawa at home on Thursday. CBC will air the game to most of Canada.

Four other games start at 7. Ottawa moves on to Montreal, where the Canadiens are back home after a 2-1 loss at Boston on Thursday, in a game that can be seen in Canada on RDS and regionally on CBC. Boston hits the road for a visit to Carolina, which is coming off a 5-2 win at Tampa Bay on Thursday. Buffalo begins a seven-game trip with a visit to the Islanders, and Columbus, a 4-3 winner against Phoenix on Friday, tries for its second home win in as many nights when San Jose comes to Nationwide Arena.

At 8 p.m. ET, Minnesota tries to bounce back from Thursday's 5-2 loss at Chicago when it moves on to St. Louis, where the Blues lost 3-2 in OT to Vancouver on Thursday. Philadelphia, a 3-2 winner on Long Island two nights earlier, finishes its road trip with a rare visit to Nashville.

In the final game of the night, Los Angeles visits Calgary in a game that starts at 10 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBC's "Hockey Night in Canada." The Flames have won eight in a row at Scotiabank Saddledome, including Thursday's 1-0 overtime win against Anaheim.
