NHL Live talks to Wild's Parise, Lightning's Cooper

by Staff

NHL Live with Steve Mears and E.J. Hradek, at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network, will talk to Minnesota Wild wing Zach Parise on the day he was named as captain of the United States for the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

We'll also talk to Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper ahead of his team's Saturday afternoon game at the Montreal Canadiens. The Lightning are right on the tail of the Boston Bruins for the Atlantic Division lead even without Steven Stamkos in the lineup and Cooper is building a strong candidacy for the Jack Adams Award as the League's top coach.

It's a five-game evening in the NHL which includes the St. Louis Blues facing off with the Carolina Hurricanes, and we'll go out on Arena Cam to talk with Blues analyst Darren Pang live from PNC Arena.

Our weekly College Hockey Report will focus on the MVP of last year's Beanpot tournament, Kevin Roy of Northeastern, and we'll look ahead to the upcoming Beanpot which gets underway Monday at TD Garden in Boston.

Remember to submit your #AskEJ questions through Twitter via @NHLNetwork or @EJHradek_NHL, and join the conversation on Twitter as we ask you to pick the game of the night.
