WASHINGTON (AP) -Anze Kopitar scored two goals and added an assist, and the Los Angeles Kings dealt the Washington Capitals a rare home loss, winning 5-4 Thursday night despite allowing Alex Ovechkin's 200th NHL goal.
Ovechkin scored with about 9 1/2 minutes left, pulling Washington to 4-3. It was Ovechkin's NHL-high 37th goal this season. Wayne Gretzky, Mike Bossy and Mario Lemieux are the only other players to reach 200 goals in their first four seasons.
Kyle Calder, Michal Handzus and Patrick O'Sullivan added goals for Los Angeles. Mike Green had two goals, and Alexander Semin also scored for Washington.

Thomas made a sensational glove stop on Dany Heatley after turning aside Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson, Brendan Bell and Antoine Vermette.
Axelsson secured Boston's fourth straight victory when he put a backhander between Brian Elliott's pad after the Ottawa goalie stopped the Bruins' first four shooters.
