A little more than 24 hours after announcing a blockbuster trade, the new-look Calgary Flames host the Philadelphia Flyers as part of the NHL's four-game schedule on Monday night.

Calgary acquired forwards Matt Stajan, Niklas Hagman and defensemen Ian White and Jamal Mayers on Sunday morning from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for defensemen Dion Phaneuf and Keith Aulie, as well as forward Fredrik Sjostrom. The Flames had lost nine in a row before earning a 6-1 win against Edmonton on Saturday night. Monday's game against the Flyers begins at 9:30 p.m. ET.

In a game that will be televised nationally in both the U.S. (Versus) and Canada (TSN2, RDS), the Pittsburgh Penguins return to the ice at 7 p.m. ET as they face the Buffalo Sabres at Mellon Arena. In a rematch of the last two Stanley Cup Finals, the defending champs earned a 2-1 shootout win against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday afternoon.

Thirty minutes later, the Florida Panthers host the Anaheim Ducks at the BankAtlantic Center. Anaheim also made a deal with Toronto on Sunday, as the Ducks acquired Jason Blake and Vesa Toskala from the Leafs in exchange for Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

In the final game of the night, the Edmonton Oilers, who went winless in January and have lost 13 games in a row, take on the Carolina Hurricanes at Rexall Place at 9:30 p.m. ET. Carolina (19-28-7) has won four in a row and is making a desperate attempt to get back in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.
