Ness scores twice, sets up one more, as the Rebels beat the Ice 4-2

RED DEER, Alta. - Tyson Ness scored twice and set up one more as the Red Deer Rebels defeated the Kootenay Ice 4-2 on Thursday in Western Hockey League action.

Brooks Maxwell had a goal and an assist for the Rebels (17-17-3) while Stephen Hak scored the other.

Elgin Pearce and Drew Czerwonka scored for the Ice (22-11-3).

Deven Dubyk made 31 saves for the win as Nathan Lieuwen stopped 21 shots in a losing effort.

Red Deer went 1-for-4 on the power play while Kootenay scored both their goals on eight opportunities with the man advantage.
