Morgan Klimchuck scores in OT as Regina Pats edge Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Morgan Klimchuk scored in overtime to help the Regina Pats to a 4-3 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey league action Sunday night.

Klimchuk's goal, his sixth goal of the season, came just over a minute into the extra period.

Regina's power play was firing with three goals from Lane Scheidl, Dyson Stevenson and Colton Jobke.

Defensive partners Brandon Davidson and Brandon Underwood stepped up with three assists each for the Pats (12-7-0).

Medicine Hat (13-5-1) had a goal and an assist from James Bettauer, Reid Petryk and Hunter Shinkaruk.

Matthew Konan also helped the Tigers out with two assists.

Regina lead the game 2-0 heading into the third only to give up three power-play goals to the Tigers.

Shinkaruk forced extra time with a pretty wraparound goal for his 18th of the season.

Pats goaltender Matt Hewitt made 29 saves for the win, while Tigers goalie Adam Beukeboom stopped 36 shots.
