Morgan Clark's 16-save performance propel Broncos to 3-1 victory over Ice @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - The Swift Current Broncos outshot the visiting Kootenay Ice by a 38-17 margin while collecting a 3-1 win on Thanksgiving Day.

Broncos goaltender Morgan Clark turned aside 16 of 17 shots to improve his season record to 4-2 while earning the win in net.

The Broncos had a power-play goal from Brad Hoban, Derek Claffey fired the eventual game winner with his first of the season with 1:07 left in the middle period, and Geordie Wudrick notched his seventh of the season 54 seconds into the final period.

Defenceman Brayden McNabb scored Kootenay's lone goal in the third period.

Ice goaltender Todd Matthews falls to 1-2 on the year despite stopping 35 of 38 shots.

The Broncos went one for five on the power play, while the Ice went without a special teams goal in three tries.

Swift Current is now 6-1 on home ice while improving to 6-4-0 on the season, while Kootenay falls to 2-5 on the road after dropping to 4-7-0.
