TORONTO - Forward Jason Bast of the Moose Jaw Warriors was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Wednesday.
Bast recorded 12 points (seven goals, five assists) and a plus-7 rating in four games last week.
Tyler Seguin of the Plymouth Whalers and Randy Cameron of the Moncton Wildcats were also considered.
Christopher Gibson of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens was named CHL goaltender of the week.
He had a 2-0-0-0 record with one shutout last week. Gibson had a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .972.
Jason Missiaen of the Peterborough Petes and Justin Leclerc of the Kamloops Blazers were the other nominees.
