MONTREAL - Montreal defenceman Mike Komisarek will return to the lineup for Thursday night's opening game of the Habs' Eastern Conference quarter-final against the visiting Boston Bruins.
Komisarek missed the final seven games of the regular season with a hip injury.
"He said he's 100 per cent," said coach Guy Carbonneau. "He hasn't played in a while, so we'll have to watch him."
Rookie Ryan O'Byrne will come out of the lineup to make room for Komisarek.
Defenceman Francis Bouillon will not return from a sore right ankle for a few more days, Carbonneau added. Captain Saku Koivu is also out with a fractured foot.
The Bruins are without centre Patrice Bergeron, who is not ready to return from a concussion suffered on Oct.. 27, said coach Claude Julien.
Team scoring leader Marc Savard, who has a sore back, will be a game-time decision, Julien added.
