MISSISSAUGUA, Ont. - J.T. Miller scored two goals and added two assists in a Plymouth Whalers' 8-4 victory over the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League play at the Hershey Centre.
Alex Aleardi scored twice and added an assist while captain Beau Schmitz contributed with a goal and two assists for the Whalers (6-5-2). Andy Bathgate and Jamie Devane chipped in with a goal and an assist and Michael Whaley rounded out the scoring.
Rookies Scott Teskey, Brett Foy, Sergey Kuptsov and Trevor Carrick scored for the Majors (9-3-1), who lost their third straight game on home ice.
Plymouth's Mitchell Heard was ejected from the game for checking Stuart Percy from behind 32 seconds into the second period. Percy, a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect, laid face first on the ice for a few minutes and needed help getting to the dressing room.
The Whalers converted once on two power play opportunities while the Majors finished 1-for-4 with the extra man.
Mississauga outshot Plymouth 28-24. Whalers goalie Scott Wedgewood stopped 24 shots and J.P. Anderson finished with 16 saves.
