Mike Lomas scores two power-play goals as Brampton routs Owen Sound 7-2 @NHLdotcom

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Mike Lomas scored two power-play goals and John Hughes registered five assists as the Brampton Battalion coasted to a 7-2 win over the Owen Sound Attack in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.

Kody Musselman opened the scoring for Brampton 2:39 into the game, slipping the puck past Attack goalie Tyler Beskorowany.

After Lomas's goals lifted the Battalion to a 3-0 lead, Joey Hishon scored, giving the Attack some life and cutting the deficit to two goals.

That was short-lived as Bobby Sanguinetti would soon restore the three-goal advantage for Brampton. He found the net with a low shot on the power play.

Graham McNabb, Thomas Stajan and Kyle Decoste added goals for Brampton (10-6-0-2).

Matt Carter scored the other goal for Owen Sound (5-12-1-0).

Stajan and Sanguinetti, who each had two points, are both former members of the Attack.
