Mignardi's two goals, one assist guide Kingston past Barrie 6-3 @NHLdotcom

BARRIE, Ont. - Bobby Mignardi scored twice and added an assist as the Kingston Frontenacs cruised to a 6-3 victory over the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.

Mignardi opened the scoring on a power play midway through the first period, and his second goal of the game - and sixth of the season - gave the Frontenacs a 3-0 lead at 12:19 of the second.

Justin Wallingford had a goal and two assists while Kyle Paige and Nathan Moon added a goal and an assist apiece for the Frontenacs (8-16-0-1), who are still mired at the bottom of the OHL's East Division standings.

Brian Lashoff, Jaroslav Kruzik and Daniel Michalsky scored for the Colts (17-12-1-1), who have dropped two straight.

Jason Guy's 33 saves paced Kingston, while Andrew Perugini stopped 24 shots in defeat for Barrie.
